What cultural faux pas should I try to avoid making in Constanta?

Answer this Question

We asked people in Constanta if they could share any humorous cultural blunders they commited. For new expats, keep in mind that these incidents are an inevitable part of expat life. Learning to laugh about them is the key!...

"When traveling in Constanta, it is important to be mindful of cultural differences. For example, it is considered rude to talk loudly or aggravate crowds. Dress modestly, as provocative clothing may be socially unacceptable. Furthermore, respect religious traditions, do not point with your finger, and refrain from engaging in public displays of affection. Avoid giving gifts in even numbers, as this is thought to bring bad luck. Other important rules to follow include not bringing up negative topics of discussion, such as politics. Additionally, it is important to be respectful when addressing elders in Romanian culture," said a member in Constanta, Romania.
