They love the friendly and welcoming nature of the locals, who are always ready to lend a helping hand or share a story. The rich history and traditions of the island, including the annual Rake and Scrape festival, are also greatly appreciated. Expats enjoy the fresh seafood and local cuisine, as well as the beautiful, unspoiled natural environment. The sense of community and slower pace of life is a refreshing change for many, allowing them to truly unwind and enjoy life," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Cat Island, Bahamas.
