What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Barcelona. They wrote...
"Expats in Barcelona often find the language barrier to be the most challenging aspect of the local culture. Many locals speak Catalan, which is a distinct language from Spanish, and it can be difficult for expats to understand and communicate with locals. Additionally, the local customs and traditions can be difficult to understand and navigate for expats who are not familiar with them. Finally, the cost of living in Barcelona can be high, making it difficult for expats to adjust to the local economy," commented one expat who made the move to Barcelona, Spain.
