What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Pattaya. They wrote...
"One of the most challenging aspects of the local culture for expats in Pattaya is the language barrier. Many locals speak only Thai, making it difficult for expats to communicate with them. Additionally, the local culture is quite different from that of many Western countries, and expats may find it difficult to adjust to the different customs and expectations. Furthermore, the local infrastructure can be lacking in some areas, making it difficult for expats to access certain services or amenities. Finally, the cost of living in Pattaya can be quite high, making it difficult for expats to find affordable housing and other necessities," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Pattaya, Thailand.
