What do expats find most challenging?

Answer this Question

We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Boston. They wrote...

"Expats in Boston often find the local culture to be quite different from what they are used to. The fast-paced lifestyle and the emphasis on education can be challenging for those who are not used to it. Additionally, the cost of living in Boston is quite high, making it difficult for expats to adjust to the local economy. Furthermore, the weather in Boston can be unpredictable, making it difficult to plan outdoor activities. Finally, the local accent can be difficult to understand for those who are not used to it," wrote a member who made the move to Boston, the United States.
