What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Bullet Tree Falls. They wrote...
"Expats in Bullet Tree Falls often find the language barrier to be a significant challenge, as the local language is a mix of Spanish, English, and Creole. The slower pace of life can also be difficult to adjust to, as things often do not happen as quickly or efficiently as they might in other countries. Additionally, the lack of certain amenities and services that they might be used to, such as high-speed internet or a wide variety of shopping options, can be a challenge. The local cuisine, which is heavily based on rice, beans, and local fruits and vegetables, may also be a difficult adjustment for some. Finally, the tropical climate, with its high heat and humidity, can be uncomfortable for those not used to such conditions," remarked another expat who made the move to Bullet Tree Falls, Belize.
