What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Paget. They wrote...
"Expats in Paget often find the high cost of living to be a significant challenge, as the island is one of the most expensive places to live in the world. The slow pace of life, known as "island time", can also be difficult for those accustomed to a faster, more urgent pace. The limited availability of goods and services can also be a challenge, as everything has to be imported. Some expats may also struggle with the isolation of living on a small island, as well as the potential for feeling like an outsider in a close-knit community. Lastly, the humid subtropical climate can be a challenge for those not used to such weather conditions," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Paget, Bermuda.
