What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Frankfurt. They wrote...
"One of the most challenging aspects of the local culture for expats in Frankfurt is the language barrier. Although many people in the city speak English, the majority of the population speaks German, and it can be difficult for expats to communicate with locals without a good grasp of the language. Additionally, the local culture can be quite formal and conservative, which can be difficult for expats to adjust to. Finally, the cost of living in Frankfurt is quite high, and expats may find it difficult to find affordable housing and other necessities," said a member in Frankfurt, Germany.
