What do expats find most challenging?

Answer this Question

We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Cesky Krumlov. They wrote...

"Expats in Cesky Krumlov often find the language barrier to be the most challenging aspect of the local culture, as Czech is a difficult language to learn and not everyone speaks English. They also sometimes struggle with the reserved nature of the Czech people, who can come across as cold or distant to outsiders. The slower pace of life can be a challenge for those used to a faster, more hectic lifestyle. Additionally, the Czech Republic has a very different approach to customer service, which can be off-putting for expats. Lastly, the local cuisine, which is heavy on meat and potatoes, may not suit everyone's taste or dietary preferences," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Cesky Krumlov, Czechia.
