What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Orleans. They wrote...
"Expats in Orleans may find the language barrier to be the most difficult part of acclimating to the local culture. Communicating with the locals and carrying out everyday tasks can be a challenge due to the language difference. Additionally, cultural differences, such as different customs, habits and norms, can take some adjusting to. Being in a smaller city also means fewer opportunities to network and make friends, which can be isolating for expats. Lastly, although Orleans has great public transportation, it is not always convenient in certain areas and relying on it can take some getting used to," remarked another expat who made the move to Orleans, France, France.
