What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Paros. They wrote...
"Expats often find adjusting to a new culture, language, and lifestyle to be the most challenging, especially if they move to a less modernize place. Making new friends and forming strong networks is also difficult. Without a support system, expats are often faced with the feeling of being alone or isolated in a strange new place. Additionally, navigating bureaucracy, dealing with visa and tax laws, and properly managing money can often be difficult and confusing, especially in complex and foreign systems. Workspace and employment opportunities might also be limited and learning the new language can be a difficult task," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Paros, Greece.
