What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Hawalli. They wrote...
"Expats in Hawalli often find the local culture to be quite different from their own, which can be challenging to adjust to. The conservative nature of the culture can be difficult to navigate, as there are strict rules and regulations regarding dress code, behavior, and social interactions. Additionally, the language barrier can be a challenge, as English is not widely spoken in Kuwait. Finally, the lack of public transportation can make it difficult to get around, as most people rely on private cars or taxis," remarked another expat who made the move to Hawalli, Kuwait.
