"The exchange rate from US dollars to Thai baht has been improving in the time I've been here, so that's a plus. But the cost of living has been rising as well," said another expat in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
"Living in Chiang Mai can be significantly cheaper than living in the United States. The cost of living in Chiang Mai is much lower than in the US, with rent, food, and transportation being significantly cheaper. Additionally, the cost of entertainment and leisure activities is also much lower in Chiang Mai than in the US. As a result, living in Chiang Mai can be a great way to save money compared to living in the US," wrote a member who made the move to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
