Will I save money living in Playa Grande?

Answer this Question

We asked expats if they save money living in Playa Grande. They said...

"Yes, you are likely to save money living in Playa Grande compared to the United States. The cost of living in Costa Rica is generally lower than in the U.S. This includes expenses such as housing, groceries, and dining out. Healthcare is also significantly cheaper in Costa Rica. However, some imported goods, like cars and electronics, can be more expensive due to import taxes. It's also important to note that while the overall cost of living is lower, the average income in Costa Rica is also lower than in the U.S. Therefore, the amount of money you save will depend on your lifestyle and spending habits," remarked another expat who made the move to Playa Grande, Costa Rica.
