Will I save money living in Oslo?

Answer this Question

We asked expats if they save money living in Oslo. They said...

"Living in Oslo can be more expensive than living in the United States. The cost of living in Oslo is higher than in many other cities in Europe, and the cost of housing is particularly high. However, the cost of living in Oslo is offset by the fact that wages are also higher than in the United States, and the Norwegian government provides generous social benefits. Additionally, the cost of transportation in Oslo is relatively low, and the city has excellent public transportation. All in all, living in Oslo can be more expensive than living in the United States, but the higher wages and social benefits can help to offset the cost," commented one expat who made the move to Oslo, Norway.
