Is the cost of living in Barcelona high?

Answer this Question

We asked people how much they someone comfortably live on in Barcelona, they wrote...

"The cost of living in Barcelona is generally considered to be quite high compared to other cities in Spain. Rent prices are particularly high, with the average one-bedroom apartment costing around €800-€1,000 per month. Groceries and other everyday items are also more expensive than in other parts of the country. Eating out can be quite expensive, with a meal for two in a mid-range restaurant costing around €50. Public transportation is relatively affordable, with a single ticket costing €2.20," remarked another expat who made the move to Barcelona, Spain.
