"The cost of living in Hamburg is generally considered to be quite high. Rent prices are particularly high, with the average cost of a one-bedroom apartment in the city center being around €1,000 per month. Groceries and other everyday items are also more expensive than in other parts of Germany. Eating out can also be quite costly, with the average meal in a mid-range restaurant costing around €15-20. Transportation is relatively affordable, with monthly tickets for public transport costing around €80," remarked another expat in Hamburg, Germany.
