"Healthcare services in Haiphong are generally accessible and affordable for the local population. The city has several public and private hospitals, clinics, and healthcare centers that provide a range of medical services. Public hospitals are usually crowded and may not have the same level of equipment and facilities as private hospitals. However, they are staffed by experienced and dedicated healthcare professionals. Private hospitals and clinics in Haiphong offer a higher standard of care, with modern facilities and equipment. They also have English-speaking staff, which can be beneficial for foreign patients. These private institutions often provide specialized services and treatments that may not be available in public hospitals. Pharmacies are widely available throughout the city, and most common medications can be purchased without a prescription. However, more specialized or rare medications may not be readily available. Despite the availability of healthcare services, there are still challenges. These include long waiting times in public hospitals, a lack of certain specialized treatments, and occasional language barriers for non-Vietnamese speakers.
