What are healthcare services like in Bimini?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Bimini. They wrote...

"Healthcare services in Bimini are relatively basic due to the island's small size and population. The island has a small clinic, the Bimini Clinic, which provides primary healthcare services to residents and visitors. This includes general medical care, emergency services, and some minor surgical procedures. For more serious conditions or specialized treatments, patients often have to be transported to Nassau or the United States. The clinic is staffed by a small team of healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses. Despite the limitations, the healthcare staff in Bimini are known for their dedication and commitment to providing the best care possible under the circumstances. The government of the Bahamas is also working to improve healthcare services in Bimini and other Family Islands through investments in infrastructure and personnel training," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Bimini, Bahamas.
