What are healthcare services like in Burlington?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Burlington. They wrote...

"Healthcare services in Burlington are provided by Halton Healthcare Services, a multi-site healthcare organization that operates the Joseph Brant Hospital, Georgetown Hospital and Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. As part of the Halton region, residents in Burlington have access to community medical clinics, public health programs, mental health, specialized health care services and urgent care centers. The province of Ontario also plays a role in providing healthcare services to Burlington residents through programs like OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) and the Trillium Drug Plan, which provide coverage for a variety of prescription costs. Additionally, the province is home to the Halton Women’s Place safe centre and Women’s Shelter, which provides support for those living with violence and abuse," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Burlington, Canada, Canada.
