"Nosara, offers a range of healthcare services for both residents and visitors. The town has a local clinic, known as the EBAIS Clinic, which provides basic healthcare services. This clinic is staffed by doctors, nurses, and a pharmacist, ensuring that basic medical needs can be met locally. For more serious or specialized medical issues, patients may need to travel to larger cities like Nicoya or San Jose, which have larger hospitals and specialized medical facilities. There are also private doctors and clinics available in Nosara, offering a range of services from general medicine to chiropractic care and physical therapy. Additionally, Nosara has a number of pharmacies where prescription and over-the-counter medications can be purchased. Emergency medical services are also available, with a local ambulance service capable of transporting patients to larger hospitals if needed. Overall, while Nosara's healthcare services may not be as extensive as those found in larger cities, they are generally considered to be reliable and of good quality," commented one expat who made the move to Nosara, Costa Rica.
