"Mal Pais is a beach town in Costa Rica. Healthcare services in Mal Pais are very limited. There is one clinic that offers basic medical services and can provide some medications. Despite the clinic, access to more comprehensive healthcare services is limited and patients may need to seek medical care outside the town. Additionally, there is no access to emergency health services in Mal Pais, and according to the local municipality, the nearest emergency room is located 20 to 30 minutes away," remarked another expat who made the move to Mal Pais, Costa Rica.
