"The area has several local physicians which offer quality care. Additionally, specialized physicians in the area of dermatology, dental, obstetrics, psychology visit the area once a month from the Central Valley. Excellent medical care is available in the Central Valley 90 minutes from Hermosa and Jaco," said another expat in Playa Hermosa de Jaco, Costa Rica.

"Healthcare services in Playa Jaco are largely provided by local hospitals and clinics, as well as national hospitals and clinics located in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. Private healthcare professionals are widely available in the Playa Jaco area, and the majority of medical facilities offer various services including primary care and specialty care, medical diagnostics, laboratory services, hospitalization, surgical treatments, and dental and cosmetic treatments. Quality services are provided while following stringent health and safety protocols. In addition, pharmacies, private health centers, and medical dispensaries are available in the area and provide a wide range of healthcare products, including over-the-counter medications, dietary supplements, vitamins, and medical supplies," wrote a member who made the move to Playa Jaco, Costa Rica.
