What are healthcare services like in Hillsborough?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Hillsborough. They wrote...

"Healthcare services in Hillsborough are primarily provided by the government through public health clinics and hospitals. The main hospital in Hillsborough is the Princess Alice Hospital, which offers a range of services including emergency care, maternity services, and general medical care. There are also several smaller clinics throughout the town that provide basic healthcare services. The healthcare system in Hillsborough is generally well-regarded, with a focus on preventative care and community health. However, like many small Caribbean islands, Hillsborough sometimes faces challenges related to limited resources and staffing. For more specialized or complex medical issues, patients may need to travel to the capital city of St. George's or even off the island. Despite these challenges, the government of Grenada is committed to improving healthcare services and has been investing in infrastructure and training for healthcare professionals," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Hillsborough, Grenada.
