What are healthcare services like in Quito?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Quito. They wrote...

"In Quito, healthcare services are accessible with both public and private clinics, hospitals, and medical centers available. The public system offers free healthcare to those with an Ecuadorian ID. Private healthcare is of high quality and provides services including emergency care and diagnostic tests. Most hospitals and clinics offer bilingual staff with doctors trained in the United States, Colombia, and Europe. Many hospitals and clinics in Quito are accredited with the Joint Commission International, US-based standards," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Quito, Ecuador, Ecuador.
