There are public hospitals and clinics as well as private facilities that are well-equipped and staffed by highly competent medical professionals. Hospitals in Guayaquil offer a wide range of clinical services, including general diagnosis and treatments, maternity care and delivery, surgical, intensive care, and imaging services. In addition to the regular in-person care, the city has many pharmacies, clinics, and specialized centers for the elderly, children, and victims of violence and abuse.
