What are healthcare services like in Praslin?
We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Praslin. They wrote...
"Praslin, offers basic healthcare services through local clinics and health centers. These facilities are equipped to handle minor illnesses and injuries, and they are staffed by general practitioners and nurses. For more serious conditions, patients may need to travel to the larger hospitals located in the capital city, Castries. The island also has a number of private clinics and pharmacies. However, it's important to note that medical facilities in Praslin and throughout Saint Lucia may not be as advanced or comprehensive as those in more developed countries. Therefore, visitors are advised to have travel insurance that covers medical evacuation in case of serious illness or injury. Despite these limitations, the healthcare staff in Praslin are known for their professionalism and dedication to patient care," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Praslin, Saint Lucia.
