What are healthcare services like in Tbilisi?
We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Tbilisi. They wrote...
"Healthcare services in Tbilisi are provided by a variety of public and private providers. The public health system consists of state-funded hospitals and clinics and is largely free for those who qualify. In addition, there is a growing range of private health care providers, including private clinics and hospitals, as well as a range of health providers that accept insurance. However, the quality of care provided by public hospitals is generally lower than that of private providers. Many medical professionals in Tbilisi have high levels of training and experience, particularly in specialty areas such as cardiology, oncology, and neurology. Though costly, Tbilisi also offers modern medical technology, including advanced imaging and laboratory testing, robotic surgery, and more," wrote a member who made the move to Tbilisi, Georgia Rep, Georgia.
