What are healthcare services like in Le Robert?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Le Robert. They wrote...

"Healthcare services in Le Robert are generally of a high standard, similar to what you would expect in mainland France. The town has a number of general practitioners and specialists, as well as pharmacies that are well-stocked with medication. For more serious conditions, residents may need to travel to the island's capital, Fort-de-France, where there are larger hospitals and clinics. Emergency services are available and are typically responsive. However, it's important to note that while healthcare professionals are highly trained, not all may speak English fluently. Health insurance is recommended as healthcare can be expensive, particularly for non-residents," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Le Robert, Martinique.
