"Medical care here is excellent and reasonable. For most things, it is possible to pay out-of-pocket, but it's good to have some sort of health insurance for catastrophes," said another expat in Mazatlan, Mexico.
"Healthcare services in Mazatlan offer a wide range of medical care and treatments. Medical facilities in the city range from general practitioner practices to specialist clinics, dentists, and other specialists. Many clinics and hospitals offer comprehensive health care services including diagnosis, treatment, preventive treatments, clinical laboratory services, as well as specialized services such as cardiology, gynecology, physical therapy, and more. In addition, pharmacies may be found throughout the city providing patients with access to necessary medications. Furthermore, there is a popular 24-hour emergency service where assistance can be sought for any medical emergency," wrote a member who made the move to Mazatlan, Mexico.
