For more serious conditions, patients are typically transported to larger hospitals in nearby cities like Kalibo or Iloilo. There are also several pharmacies on the island where over-the-counter and prescription medications can be purchased. However, it's recommended for visitors to have travel insurance as medical costs can be high, especially for more serious treatments. Despite these limitations, the healthcare staff on the island are known for their professionalism and dedication to providing the best care possible," commented one expat who made the move to Boracay Island, Philippines.
