Is there a lot of crime in Dar es Salaam?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Dar es Salaam, experiences a significant amount of crime, including both petty and violent offenses. Petty crimes such as pickpocketing, bag snatching, and theft from parked cars are common, particularly in crowded areas and tourist hotspots. Violent crimes, including armed robbery, carjacking, and home invasions, also occur, although they are less frequent. Additionally, there have been reports of scams and fraud targeting foreigners. While the Tanzanian government has taken steps to improve security, crime remains a concern in Dar es Salaam," remarked another expat in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
