Is there a lot of crime in Istanbul?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Istanbul is a large city with a population of over 15 million people, and like any large city, it has its share of crime. While the overall crime rate in Istanbul is lower than in many other major cities, there are still reports of violent crime, theft, and fraud. The city has seen an increase in drug-related crime in recent years, and there have been reports of organized crime and human trafficking. The Turkish government has taken steps to address these issues, but crime remains a concern for many residents," commented one expat who made the move to Istanbul, Turkey.
