"Can Tho, generally has a lower crime rate compared to other major cities in the country. Most of the crimes reported are petty crimes such as pickpocketing, bag snatching, and other minor thefts, particularly in crowded places. Violent crimes are relatively rare, but they do occur occasionally. The city has been making efforts to improve safety and security, but like any other city, it is advisable for residents and tourists to take necessary precautions to avoid becoming victims of crime," remarked another expat who made the move to Can Tho, Vietnam.
