Is there a lot of crime in Austin?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Austin is generally considered to be a safe city, however, like any other city, it does have its share of crime. Property crime, such as burglary and theft, is the most common type of crime in Austin. Violent crime, such as assault and homicide, is less common but still occurs. The Austin Police Department works hard to keep the city safe and has implemented a number of initiatives to reduce crime," wrote a member who made the move to Austin, the United States.
