Is there a lot of crime in Independence?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Independence is a small village with a relatively low population, and as such, it does not experience a high level of crime. However, like any other place, it is not completely free from criminal activities. Petty crimes such as theft and burglary can occur, but violent crimes are less common. It is generally considered a safe place to live and visit, but it is always advisable to take necessary precautions and be aware of one's surroundings," remarked another expat in Independence, Belize.
