"Punta Gorda, is generally considered a safe town with a low crime rate. However, like any other place, it is not entirely free from crime. Petty crimes such as theft and burglary do occur, but violent crimes are relatively rare. Tourists are advised to take standard precautions to protect their belongings. The local police force is active and responsive in maintaining peace and order in the town. Despite the occasional incidents, Punta Gorda remains a popular destination for tourists due to its natural beauty and cultural richness," said another expat in Punta Gorda, Belize.
