Is there a lot of crime in Esteli?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Esteli, like many other cities in Nicaragua, does experience crime. However, it is not considered one of the most dangerous cities in the country. The most common types of crime in Esteli are petty theft and burglary. Violent crimes such as assault and robbery are less common, but they do occur. Drug-related crimes are also a concern in the area. Despite these issues, many residents and visitors feel relatively safe in Esteli, especially compared to other parts of Nicaragua. The local police force is active in combating crime and maintaining order in the city. Nonetheless, it is always recommended for residents and visitors to take precautions to protect themselves and their belongings," explained one expat living in Esteli, Nicaragua.
