"Uvita is generally considered a safe place to visit and live. Like any other place, it has its share of petty crimes such as pickpocketing or theft, especially in tourist areas. However, violent crime is relatively rare. The local authorities are proactive in maintaining safety and security. It's always recommended for visitors to take standard precautions to protect their belongings. Overall, Uvita is a peaceful town with a low crime rate compared to other regions," wrote a member who made the move to Uvita, Costa Rica.
