"Playa Conchal, is generally considered a safe destination for tourists. Like any other tourist destination, petty crimes like pickpocketing or bag snatching can occur, but they are not common. Violent crime is extremely rare, especially against tourists. The local authorities are aware of the importance of tourism to the local economy and therefore take safety seriously. Visitors are advised to take standard travel precautions, such as not leaving belongings unattended and avoiding isolated areas at night," said another expat in Playa Conchal, Costa Rica.
