"Aix-en-Provence, France, generally has a low crime rate, especially when compared to larger cities in the country. Most of the crimes reported are petty crimes such as pickpocketing or minor theft, particularly in crowded areas or tourist hotspots. Violent crime is relatively rare, and the city is considered safe for residents and visitors alike. However, like any other city, it is always advisable to take standard precautions to protect personal belongings and safety. The local police force is efficient and responsive, contributing to the overall sense of security in the city," remarked another expat who made the move to Aix-en-Provence , France.
