"Ocho Rios is generally considered a safe destination for tourists, however, petty crime such as pickpocketing and purse snatching can occur. It is recommended to take extra precautions when travelling in the area, such as avoiding carrying large amounts of cash and leaving valuables in a secure location. Additionally, visitors should be aware of their surroundings and avoid walking alone at night," commented one expat who made the move to Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
