Is there a lot of crime in Vientiane?
We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...
"Vientiane is generally considered to be a safe city with a low level of crime in comparison to other cities and towns. Petty crime such as pickpocketing and bag snatching can occur, particularly in crowded areas and those areas frequented by tourists. It is recommended to remain vigilant and avoid carrying large amounts of cash, wearing expensive jewellery or other items of value, and to be aware of your surroundings," remarked another expat who made the move to Vientiane, Laos.
