Is there a lot of crime in Huatulco?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Huatulco is generally considered a safe destination for tourists. The crime rate is relatively low compared to other parts of Mexico. Most of the crimes reported are petty crimes like pickpocketing or bag snatching. Violent crimes are rare, especially against tourists. However, like any other tourist destination, it is always advisable to take standard precautions to protect personal belongings and safety. The local police and security services are active and responsive in maintaining the safety of the area," commented one expat who made the move to Huatulco, Mexico.
