"Nelson, generally enjoys a relatively low crime rate compared to other regions. The city is known for its safe and secure environment, with most crimes being minor and non-violent in nature. However, like any other city, it does experience occasional instances of crime, including theft, burglary, and vandalism. The local police force is proactive in maintaining law and order, and community initiatives also contribute to the overall safety of the area. Despite these occasional incidents, Nelson remains a safe place to live and visit," remarked another expat who made the move to Nelson, New Zealand.
