Is there a lot of crime in Siargao?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Siargao is generally considered a safe destination for tourists and locals alike. The crime rate is relatively low compared to other parts of the country. Most reported incidents are minor, such as petty theft or pickpocketing, particularly in crowded areas. Violent crime is rare, and the local community is known for being friendly and welcoming to visitors. However, like any other place, it is always recommended for visitors to take standard precautions to protect their belongings and personal safety," remarked another expat in Siargao, Philippines.
