Is there a lot of diversity? Are people in Annecy accepting of differences?

Answer this Question

When we asked people about diversity in Annecy and whether locals are accepting of differences, they said...

"Annecy, is a city that is known for its rich history and culture, but it may not be as diverse as larger cities like Paris or Lyon. The majority of the population is of French origin, but there are also communities of Italians, Portuguese, and North Africans, among others. As for acceptance of differences, it can vary from person to person, but generally, the French value secularism and respect for individual freedoms, which includes acceptance of cultural and ethnic differences. However, like any place, it is not immune to instances of prejudice or discrimination. It's important to note that Annecy is a popular tourist destination, so locals are accustomed to interacting with people from different backgrounds," remarked another expat who made the move to Annecy, France.
