"Bring a lot of humor & an open mind. Do come because it's a fantastic experience and they have the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. This town is changing quickly and if you want to see a bit of it's original culture you need to be here now and not in 10 years time," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Salalah, Oman.
"Before retiring in Salalah, expats should be aware of the local culture and customs. It is important to research the cost of living in the area, as well as the availability of healthcare and other services. Expats should also be aware of the climate in Salalah, which is hot and humid in the summer and mild in the winter. Additionally, expats should be aware of the visa requirements for living in Oman, as well as the process for obtaining residency. Finally, expats should research the local job market and the availability of recreational activities in the area," commented one expat who made the move to Salalah, Oman.
