What do I need to know before retiring in Shah Alam?

Answer this Question

When we asked people what advice they would give someone preparing to move to Shah Alam, they said...

"Expats considering retiring in Shah Alam should be aware that the city is a bustling metropolis with a population of over 1 million people. It is the capital of the state of Selangor and is located in the Klang Valley, about 25 km from Kuala Lumpur. Expats should also be aware that the cost of living in Shah Alam is relatively low compared to other cities in Malaysia, making it an attractive option for retirees. Additionally, the city is well-connected to the rest of the country by public transportation, making it easy to get around. Finally, expats should be aware that the climate in Shah Alam is tropical, with temperatures ranging from 21 to 33 degrees Celsius throughout the year," remarked another expat in Shah Alam, Malaysia.
