What are the schools in Tirana like?
When we asked about the schools in Tirana, they said...
"It's a good school but they do hold the students and parents accountable. They use an online grade/homework (EngradePro) system to monitor grades and also use an additional online science program so internet access is a must. Like I said before the MAP program is nice to show your students progress. This appears to be the only school in the city that just doesn't change grades to make parents happy so don't enroll if you expect special favors. The academic director is former US military so everyone is treated the same and the students all have the same right to learn. Your child is special, but so is everyone elses :)," remarked one parent with kids at Albanian International School in Tirana.
"The American School of Tirana (AST) is one of the best international schools in Tirana. AST offers a comprehensive American-style education to students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the Council of International Schools. AST provides a rigorous academic program that prepares students for college and university studies. The school also offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and art. The International School of Tirana (IST) is another excellent international school in Tirana, Albania. IST is an independent, co-educational day school that offers an international curriculum for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools and is a member of the European Council of International Schools. IST provides a challenging academic program that prepares students for college and university studies. The school also offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and art. The Bilingual School of Tirana (BST) is a bilingual school in Tirana, Albania.
